(almost) Spring colours

We’ve been wanting to paint our house since we moved in almost two years ago, but various other home improvement projects kept taking priority. Plus, the colours chosen by the previous owners are okay – lots of white, chocolate brown, and a rusty yellow colour that reminds me of the spice tumeric. But they’re not us. So after a loo-ong period of colour deliberations we took the plunge. Colours are chosen and painting has commenced! We decided on Benjamin Moore’s Aura paints because they have low emission of toxic chemicals and had many reviews as an excellent quality paint. The colours we chose are: Tea Room (dusty rose), Soleil (pale yellow) and Wind Chime (light grey-blue).

Even though it’s -25C today, I can already feel spring seeping in now that chocolate brown walls has become a bright, buttery yellow.  Photos to come once we’re past the green tape stage.
